Key Achievements
Reversed five years of declining men’s sweater sales by presenting buyers with youthful patterns, textures and silhouettes not found elsewhere in the marketplace; AE tripled the men’s sweater budget for Holiday 2022, with two in-store table assortments versus previous online-only sales.
Drove quality, consistency and efficiency through curating a selection of yarns for each season. Then tested stitches and patterns through targeted knit-down development. Knit-downs gave buyers confidence in platforming yarns, ensuring supply of fibers at a competitive price.
Turned liabilities into sellable products by using creative stitch and knit-down development to combine and repurpose yarns that had already been purchased that could not be used as is. Saved over 60 thousands dollars worth of yarn liability from the 2021 season.
